Displaced

Displaced

A meditation on what could make the world a better place; if enough people only wanted it to be.

Queue for change in a Snowstorm

Queue for change in a Snowstorm is my meditation on this, the calm line of resignation, of reconciliation with events, the anticipation of eventual change, the remote chance of hope. I recognise a sadness in the acquiescence, however I also see a dignity and wisdom in laughing as you queue for the only food you are likely to get today whatever it maybe, a fortitude in excepting what you have no means of changing.

There is a rule of thermodynamics (Entropy) that says things can only change in one direction never going backwards, but things will always change.

I have been an activist all my adult life and an outsider even as a child, my hope is for less misdirected hatred, recognition of their Propaganda and its evil selfish intent, as Shelley said (1819) The Mask of Anarchy ‘Ye are many – they are few.’ his response to the Peterloo Massacre. Professor Noam Chomsky tells us ‘Democracy is to protect the few from the many’ and argues this case remarkably well.
